pH Control

Peristaltic metering pumps provide the most reliable means in water treatment for injecting chemicals to maintain pH control. Low pH water can be corrosive to metal surfaces including pipes, valves and fittings. Soda ash (sodium carbonate) or caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) is commonly metered to raise the pH of acidic water. Conversely, highly alkaline water can have its pH lowered with a variety of acidic products including acetic acid, citric acid and hydrochloric acid.

Stenner's peristaltic adjustable pump can be wired to a well pump pressure switch and metered accordingly for accurate chemical feed. In some installations fixed output pumps are often wired to a pH controller. For precise chemical delivery the Stenner PCM system feeds accurate dosages based on water volume regardless of the system flow rate. The PCM system consists of a fixed output pump, PCM, and water meter and is now available on a pre-assembled panel called the Proportional Injection System that conveniently mounts to the wall for timely installations and equipment accessibility.
There is a variety of Stenner models to choose from that provide a wide range of outputs. The Stenner Pump Company also offers a tank system consisting of a metering pump and solution tank that is shipped pre-assembled for a quick and easy installation.
